~ Five Mornings of Japa Meditation ~
As we approach the height of the solar season and the summer solstice, we are invited to enter a simple but committed morning sādhanā container, chanting the Sāvitrī Gāyatrī mantra dedicated to the sun.
Over five mornings, from Tueday to Saturday, we will meet just before sunrise, when the world is still quiet and the first light is beginning to appear. This is open to everyone, even without previous meditation experience. At the same time, it is not a casual drop-in practice, but a committed shared space - each morning we will sit together for a round of Sāvitrī Gāyatrī mantra repetition (japa), allowing the sound to gather the mind and settle into one continuous thread of attention.
I will guide the practice, but the emphasis is on consistency and personal commitment. Each session is approximately 40 minutes, held in a quiet and supportive container. If you have a mālā at home, bring it with you 💛
— SCHEDULE
The day before we start, we'll gather in a small meeting where we will read the mantra and be concious of its meaning:
June 15th (mon) | 20:30 ~ opening gathering (short mantra & orientation session)
June 16th (tue) - 20th (sat) | 6:00-6:45 ~ morning sādhanā (mantra japa & silent container)
— CONTRIBUTION
This 5-day meditation gathering is offered by sliding-scale donation.
Your donation is a way to honour your commitment to the practice,
and to support the container that holds and sustains these mornings:
-
if you’re a regular student in June* : €6-12 (for the five days)
* at Estúdio do Bairro or online -
if you’re not a regular student: €12-20 (for the five days)
I offer these practices on a donation basis because I don’t want financial circumstances to be the reason someone cannot join these meaningful containers of practice and commitment. At the same time, if you are in a place where you can contribute more comfortably, your donation truly supports and sustains this kind of work, making it possible for me to continue offering spaces like this.
Come ❤️
